Ravens pass-catchers thru 10
Gotta get busy, short turnaround this week!
Remember that these numbers ONLY include targeted passes, not things like sacks or spikes, so they "overstate" the effectiveness of the passing offense.
Last week: https://forum.russellstreetreport.co...atchers-thru-9
Player Targ Rec Yds Y/R TD Y/Targ James Proche 1 1 14 14.0 0 14.0 Willie Snead 40 28 379 13.5 3 9.5 Devin Duvernay 20 15 179 11.9 0 9.0 Mark Andrews 60 38 454 11.9 6 7.6 Marquise Brown 58 32 431 13.5 2 7.4 Mark Ingram 7 5 49 9.8 0 7.0 Miles Boykin 23 14 153 10.9 1 6.7 Nick Boyle 17 14 113 8.1 2 6.6 Dez Bryant 5 4 28 7.0 0 5.6 Gus Edwards 8 3 42 14.0 0 5.3 J.K. Dobbins 22 17 103 6.1 0 4.7 Patrick Ricard 7 5 24 4.8 1 3.4 Justice Hill 1 1 3 3.0 0 3.0
Snead & Duvernay had bad games, but still near the top of this list.
Here's your game-leaders in yards-per-tgt vs Titans:
Everyone else was under 6 for the game.Player YPT Proche 14.0 Andrews 13.7 Dobbins 7.5
It's only one target, but Proche has gotten open in previous games – on that same route, even – so good for him. He'd earned a look.
Andrews' best game of the season, statistically.
Boykin was not targeted at all, for the second game in a row. Those of you hoping to see Boykin cut out of the passing game completely, looks like you got your wish. Boykin caught that TD versus the Steelers, and in the 3 games since has been thrown to only once (catching it for an 11yd gain vs Indy).
Marquise has had consecutive awful games statistically, and 3 out of the last 4.
Target Distribution
WR Targ TE/FB Targ RB Targ Marquise 58 Mandrews 60 Dobbins 22 Snead 40 Boyle 17 Gus 8 Boykin 23 Ingram 7 Duvernay 20 Ricard 7 Dez 5 Justice 1 Proche 1 — — — — — — 147 77 45 WR 54.6% TE 28.6% RB 16.7% Last Year: 42.9% Last Year: 42.5% Last Year: 14.6% NFL avg: 60% NFL avg: 21% NFL avg: 20%
Two more new additions to the targets list, after adding Hill last week. I think it's more normal for a passing offense to use a lot of bodies, rather than just be funneled thru a few players.
To that end, I guess it's encouraging to see Dez with 5 targets, and Proche with one in a high-leverage situation. Anything to get Lamar firing with confidence, rather than hesitating.

Like I said in Boykin thread I can't shit on him with Brown playing like he is. Catching 32 of 58 targets as the team's top receiver seems terrible.

Re: Ravens pass-catchers thru 10
Jim, I can’t even believe you had the audacity to use the term “pass-catchers” with this team. We don’t have pass catchers. We don’t have dem’. Where dey come from?
