They're saying wear a mask everywhere you go even in YOUR OWN HOME but they don't wear them in public.

We're supposedly doing all this in the name of safety for a virus that is a little more deadly than the flu. What a bunch of scared wimps our society has become.

You are right, the CA gov, Pelosi all hypocrites who've gotten caught.

Only point of contention is that the folks who have lost family members too soon because of this virus, it is serious for them. Until it hits home, it's hard to understand why people are being so precautious. I don't fault to local govs for making decisions. I know that I am lucky where my county has provided my kids all that they need to be successful at school, that I can work remote. PG county has a program where local businesses can apply for 25K Covid assistance. I know that isn't allot, but it is something. Unfortunately, it's a first come first serve thing.

Like you guys, we order out twice a week to help local business. I always tip $20 to whomever delivers the food. I send $100 a month to Maryland food bank. I try to do my part. I hope these vaccines get us back to normal by the spring.

Look I get that. But we have never done anything like this before. When have we ever locked down or quarantined the healthy?

Originally when we didn't know what this was, I get it. But now, we see it's slightly worse than the flu, it's time to move on and get back to life.

What we are seeing throughout this pandemic has nothing to do with capitalism. Ur governors are picking the winners and now allowing the citizens to do so.
Nothing to do with socialism, everything to do with restoring The disorder caused by the interference with capitalism.

The larger point, which either I'm not relaying well or you're not getting is all the people talking about how hard this is, or lets stay locked down, do this for your saftey etc. aren't suffering like the people they're telling to deal with the consequences of being shutdown/restricted.

It was not a specific shot at teh companies but an example of people who are not affected the way others are but are telling you/us to be okay with it.

Does that make sense?

Just had our second icu doc intubated today. It can be really bad.

Our country and our sense of individualism has led to great things over the years, but is a huge reason why we are struggling with control of the virus and the economic fall out.

We can't agree on anything anymore. We don't even try.
