    The bookies set the odds to get even action on the bets. They aren't betting, they provide a service. The bettors think Biden will win, the bookies don't care as long as they get half the money on each side. They make their money on the juice the loser pays. The bettors are playing the polls.

    Vegas doesn't set point spreads except at the beginning when they set a line on what they think will get the betting even on each side. Then they move them to encourage betting on which ever side is currently not getting as much action. That is what is happening here.

    That said, normally the smart money will move the odds and they can be predictive of many outcomes, but even the smart money on Wall St. gets burned on occasion,

    Biden has been the odds-on favorite since May, but the vast majority of the money being laid has been on Trump. By a large margin. What that tells us is likely not much other than the fact that those who are willing to risk large sums of their own money in this election believe Trump is winning.
