Politics is a lucrative business.

It's a SUPER lucrative business in the era of Trump.

"They" have to sell their product to us while creating as much intrigue as possible. They used to be better at hiding that element of the business. Now, it's so blatantly obvious that they're just making shit up...the entertainment factor comes from people believing the bullshit.

I've always found it amusing when I hear someone say..."politician A is beating politician B." That's equivalent to saying "my dad can beat up your dad." Outside of election day, it means absolutely zilch.
