Re: Interesting read - thoughts
“Sure, they’re averaging 164 yards-per-game, but they’ve largely toiled away for very minor gains only to have a few huge plays bail them out in the overall statistics. Of the Ravens’ 984 total rushing yards on 181 attempts this season, 443 rushing yards have come on just 16 plays. That means Baltimore is really averaging just 3.28 yards-per-carry on the other 165 attempts, which is stalling drives and aiding in the offensive woes.”
This makes it look like the writer is bent on finding negative criticism about everything. I don’t understand his point “if you take away 443 yards on 16 plays.....” Huh? Why would you take away all the big plays and rearrange the numbers in favor of your argument and still be taken seriously?
Those big plays happened. If you’re being impartial not all teams can do that, except maybe the 5-1 team. Proves that they must be good at something. It would be like focusing on incomplete passes. Not all runs work either.

So that guy who wrote that article is overly critical? Look I’m a big fan but our team should be more than thankful for being 5-1. We have played four subpar to mediocre teams that resulted in some wins and a contending team in which we got our ass kicked in every phase. That writer is absolutely correct, what drastic improvements have we seen over the course of the first six weeks? We have the same circumstances as everyone else in the league and the excuses of having no preseason etc can’t fly anymore..if we don’t get the issues fixed, the next month of football could be brutal, and if we get swept by Pittsburgh, lose to the Pats, and to Indy, let’s see where all the folks who say this team is so “great” are hiding..lol
