Re: The Democrats want it more

If the Dems wanted it more, they wouldn’t be trying to top their last attempt at the worst candidate aver.

Re: The Democrats want it more

In 2016, dislike and even hatred of Clinton depressed Democratic turnout and spurred Trump and GOP turnout.

Four years of Trump has changed that. 2018 saw record turnout for Democrats in a mid-term. Many are driven by a dislike and even hatred of Trump in this cycle, which is why so much money is flowing into Democratic coffers. Harrison, McGrath, and Hegar will probably not oust Graham, McConnell, and Cornyn, but they're making those races extremely competitive and pulling resources away from other Republican incumbents who are even more vulnerable.

Internal Republican polling doesn't seem friendly to Republicans, either, as we can tell from embattled Republicans now trying to distance themselves from Trump. Cornyn now wants us to know he opposed Trump on a bunch of issues, and Sasse leaked a phone conference with donors where he said he'd "privately" opposed Trump on many things.

If we end up with a far left government over the next two cycles thank Trump and his fan base for wrecking the GOP and covering it in Trump Stink.
