Re: COVID-19 tracker
Just to Monday or Tuesday at the moment. They don't know who else might be infected. Pats entire QB room could potentially be exposed as was mentioned above, plus the Chiefs had a PS QB get it. As far as I know PS guys are in the same meetings as rostered guys so that puts the Chiefs QB room at risk too.
It's the smart thing to do imo give another day or two to test more and make sure no more positives. The NFL doesn't seem to have any problem with playing on a Tuesday so I don't see any issue.back on twitter

Re: COVID-19 tracker
My preseason guess was they'd shut down after week 4. (FTR I'm kind of surprised MLB managed a full, if truncated, season - but their rosters and adjunct personnel are fewer.) I still think it very likely the NFL will experience some significant disruption - delays and schedule-shuffling if not outright cancellation - by midseason. I would love to be proven wrong if it means we as a society are starting to get a handle on the pandemic.

Re: COVID-19 tracker
two thoughts:
1. Install a second bye NOW - push the entire season a week and add a bye around Thanksgiving. That could be used as a spot for moving some games.
2. Implement a 'play the game anyway' strategy. If a player tests positive he must quarantine but the rest of the team plays. If it's your QB, that's tough but so is an injury. Not ideal but if they postpone every game they'll never finish the season. This is why they have expanded roster/PS rules this year.
Some approach like that is the only way I see them finishing out the season.
