Re: Conald and Melania Teat Positive for Covid
Seriously.
Pretty much everyone that I have heard/talked to that ADAMANTLY hates Trump hardly ever references anything about Trump's policies or things he's done (policy-wise) while President. They just don't like him. They don't like that he was a reality TV star. They don't like that he is a womanizer. They don't like that he's banged porn stars. They don't like that he talks shit to people and calls people names. They don't like that he uses Twitter. They don't like his hair. They don't like that he's not an establishment politician.
Honestly, what this whole thing has shown (or should have shown) everyone is that a lot of voters don't give a damn about policy at all. It's purely popularity...which is incredibly juvenile.Disclaimer: The content posted is of my own opinion.

Re: Conald and Melania Teat Positive for Covid
Hicks was known to be positive IN THE MORNING.
Trumps aide said he was "lethargic" and hoarse "all day"
They notified no one, ZERO people, who had close contact with Hicks despite having all day to do it. No precautions were taken ALL DAY despite knowing of the situation. Many found out when they woke up this morn and saw it on the news. Trump and his people said ZERO to anyone until a reporter broke the story.
Bet if a donor called saying he had a million dollars if Trump passed a message to some one it would happen Ricky Tick.

Re: Conald and Melania Teat Positive for Covid
Ive said on here there are several things I like that Trump has done.
That said, your absolutely correct. Its him I cannot take. Ill try and explain...
The constitution is an inherently weak document. There are hundreds of things that are not specifically addressed in the document. It depends on people with some level of character to attempt to live up to its aspirations. It assumes the people in charge of enforcing it and being its guardian place country before self. Sure there are politics but bottom line it has to be country first. I have never seen or heard of an incident where Trump was willing to put anything before his personal interests, no matter the cost to others. Name one selfless thing he has ever done.
I could care less about his reality tv show. I do care about character. He took from his own non profit to buy portraits of himself and boy scout uniforms for his son. Really? Is this the character of a person of presidential timber? Misogynistic tendencies, a history of litigating small contractors out of business in order to save money on a build. Setting up corporations to stick small investors with losses while he walks away with millions after declaring bankruptcy. Things like womanizing, adultery, porn stars, groping women and bragging about how no one can touch him are just re-enforcing any doubts about of character deficiencies IMO. Full page newspaper ads in newspapers condemning innocent people. I care about habitual lying about anything and every thing. Politicians lie, its what they do but this is unprecedented in scope. How am I supposed to believe anything he says? He has shown himself willing to burn down the country rather than "lose" at anything. Thats not the character I want in charge.
Judgement: Im more than willing to grant that there were a number of people ingrained in the system who resented and resisted his election. But what about the people he selected for jobs in high level positions? All great people, well qualified, until they quit or he fired them for disagreeing with him. Then they became inept, incompetent, dumb, or he didnt really know them. Well, which is it? How can he keep repeatedly hire such lousy people? If they were all those things why did he hire them? If they arent and he is making those claims then its him lying again. How does that reflect on his judgement? Nobody is going to convince me in this lifetime that Bolton or George Will is not a conservative, but Trump says its the case. And Lord knows he would rather work hard to destroy the reputation a person spent a lifetime building rather than admit he may be wrong.
Other huge red flags for me...Ive been following presidential politics to some degree since Nixons first term. NEVER have I seen even a handfull of of prominent people in a sitting presidents party speak out against him. This man not only has dozens of respected republicans who have spoken out against him but there is a movement of hundreds of republicans, many highly regarded, with impecable conservative credentials who are actively campaigning against him. With regards to the pandemic...Redman, Hahn and Fauci may not be perfect but they are a hell of alot better than a opinion show host, demon seed doctor, pillow salesman and a radiologist that have had input to policy IMO. Why did these people get input? For the simple reason that they chose to agree with the president. Forget qualifications, forget right or wrong, just so long as they agree. Hell, it was reported his own family could not tell him he had a bad debate because saying anything he doesnt want to hear brings fire and fury. Just who I want in charge a guy who can accept nothing but yes men around him.
Ive read every presidential memoir since Carter . There are two things they all have in common. One, they have all supported and advised one another because each has said the job is a whole lot different than one imagines it to be once you assume the office. The second is refrain they from commenting on other presidents actions and decisions as much as possible. With Trump we have a republican president going as far as granting access to his donor rolls and contacts for those who oppose Trump.
'
Rarely do you hear of a person leaving a high level position in an administration speak poorly of a president who is still sitting.
Former SecDef: Hes a fkn moron
Former CJCofS: Danger to national security
Former CNSC: Chaos, dumb
Former CofS: Dnger to America
Former NSA: Makes decisions based solely on how it will effect re-election prospects (self before country)
The list is much longer but you get the gist. Can all these respected people be that wrong in their evaluations of him as a leader? The "deep state" narrative only goes so far.
This man has run thru an "A" team of advisors and a "B" and "C team as well. He cant get quality people to even work for him any more.
I could go on but there you have a few of my thoughts.

Re: Conald and Melania Teat Positive for Covid
Remember this Wicked...
Policies are fleeting. One president implements them and the next can dismantle what was set in place. We are seeing that now with the ACA and immigration. Character, Leadership and Judgement are what really matters when it comes to carrying out the hopes of the constitution and sets the course for America.
Just my opinion...

Re: Conald and Melania Teat Positive for Covid
That is a narrow lens for a reason to elect a president and even if true on your part as to your reasons, it is half-baked. Here is the reason why. Other situations impact the economy. This pandemic has short-circuited millions of jobs and thrown the economy into turmoil. The ill-informed pandemic response shot this country in the knees. You can debate that Trump did a good job, not an ass-backwards job, but the truth is other factors like the pandemic impact the economy. If you get a leader who is ill-prepared to handle the other situations and you only vote on economy - well - this crap economic situation is what you get because the leader cannot handle anything else responsibly.
