Re: “Non” Sack Daddy and Judon
My guess is that you'll see some sacks on Sunday -- mostly of the coverage variety. It will leave the illusion that the pass rush is improving, but really it will just be the quality of opponent getting worse.

Re: “Non” Sack Daddy and Judon
Exactly.
Important to note though that that 'level of competition' thing swings both ways. For all the people who are freaking out about this and that because of Monday night, it's important to remember we were playing the most unstoppable offense since the Patriots Moss years. Nobody has gotten a pass rush on the Chiefs in a long time. They've given up multiple sacks in a game twice in the past year."Chin up, chest out."

Re: “Non” Sack Daddy and Judon
I'm ready to cut a second year guy some slack, more so considering the odd pre-season he's had. I think he needs to do something with his body type though or he might be one of those guys that can set the edge and offer little more.
But Judon? Nah, a guy on a contract year that was aiming at 16m+ a year needs to show something and I'll be fuming if he's stays next year. I'm also sick of the he's asked to cover in many snaps thing. For 16m+ a year I'd rather a guy that does nothing but pressure the QB but consistently.

Re: “Non” Sack Daddy and Judon
I think the Ravens have developed a new defensive strategy around Judon's ability to rush the passer. Its called the ''totem pole" rush. Its based on Judon's ability to stand there motionless like a big upright log - hoping that the quarterback runs into him knocking himself out in the process. The Ravens have invested about $17 Million in developing this new radical defensive technique.

Re: “Non” Sack Daddy and Judon
If Judon can't get ready for a contract year under the franchise tag, it's even more reason to move on.

Re: “Non” Sack Daddy and Judon
For me, no preseason for Judon isn't an excuted. He's been through full offseasons before. He should know what he has to do.
Ferguson gets a little bit more leeway in my eyes, as do the rooks. That first TC can be overwhelming, so this would have been his first normal camp, and that could have tripped him up.
But it's not like it's a situation that's unique to only the Ravens, so you still have to be prepared."Cause if you ain’t pissed off for greatness, that just means you’re okay with being mediocre, and ain’t no man in here okay with just basic.”
