Re: Harbaugh Is The Glass Ceiling
C&D, you're another who's blown his top, disregarding Harbs 22 - 4 regular season record with LJ @ QB. Most every fan of every team would be kneeling at his altar. YES, we've lost some important games, and YES I'd hate to lose Roman, but just to remind you that there are 13 more games to go. If Roman was to leave for greener pastures in 2021, do you think the Ravens would just pack up their bags? Have you forgotten that Harbs was our HC in 2012/13 when he managed the team, via "January Joe", to our 2nd Super Bowl victory? My money is on the combination of Harbs & LJ8 doing it again... Bc

What's funny is that this was a thread about Andy Reid on every Eagles board and every Chiefs board until this year. Amazing what winning does

Re: Harbaugh Is The Glass Ceiling
Well ya know GOTA we Ravens fans are ....Spoiled. We won a Super Bowl with Harbs and Co very quickly and haven’t had real success since. Now we have what most consider the “best offense we’ve ever had “ and we don’t seem to compete when the “Lights are Brightest “. I.E. Playoffs , PrimeTime against great teams.

Re: Harbaugh Is The Glass Ceiling
Harbs was Reid's student at Philadelphia before he got the Ravens job - last night he got schooled by his teacher - AGAIN!
To be the Master you have to beat the master.

Re: Harbaugh Is The Glass Ceiling
I like most of what Harbaugh does. I don't care at all that he doesn't have an offensive or defensive specialism. His role is to get the team organised, together and playing hard and, for the most part, he does that very well.
However that all falls apart when the team has to play a big game. They come into the game lacking confidence, they play scared and they panic when things go wrong. Roman, in particular, seems to fall to pieces and Harbaugh doesn't step in to right the ship.
He's more than earned another chance to sort this out but the psychological problems are now undeniable. If he hasn't taken serious steps to sort this out before the Ravens have to play the next high pressure game, then he's just denying reality.
Even though it might seem foolish to get rid of such a successful coach, it would then become clear that Harbaugh will never win another Super Bowl. With Lamar at QB, that's grounds for moving on.
TL;DR - Give him one last chance.

Re: Harbaugh Is The Glass Ceiling
While I do agree in part with the OP, I do think Harbaugh can win a SB with this team. It’s single elimination in the playoffs and anything can happen in one game. We have as good a roster as any. It’s just that KC has the guy that may go down as the best NFL player of all time when it’s all said and done, and when the talent level is that close for NFL rosters he can make the gap look that much wider on his own.

Re: Harbaugh Is The Glass Ceiling
How does Harbaugh help us win?
Andy Reid helps his offense. Some help their defense. Some do a little of both.
Pretty much every meaningful game for over half a decade now Harbaugh has gotten completely abused by men who actually coach.

Re: Harbaugh Is The Glass Ceiling
Hi Lax, hope you and your family are safe and well.
Only wanted to comment on the bold. Harbaugh was signed in 2008, the year Flacco was drafted. Even though they did have initial playoff success together, it took 5 years until the Ravens won the Super Bowl. Hate to use semantics, but I wouldn't say that was "very quickly."
Therefore, IMO we've got to give Harbs and LJ8, who are in their 3rd year together, time to mature into a Super Bowl contender again... as these Ravens look to be yearly playoff participants... Bc

Re: Harbaugh Is The Glass Ceiling
I would compare Harbs to Mike D'Antoni in the NBA. Good coach that can get you a lot of wins and look convincing in the regular season, but will not get you the wins that matter most. D'Antoni is horrible at applying adjustments when they are needed (Rockets shooting horribly from 3, but he refuses to stop taking them and get easier buckets), and Harbs' in game adjustments are lacking. The success the Ravens had in the Flacco era was largely due to coordinators, veteran leadership and gritty players that are long gone
