It is incorrect to say otherwise.

There is a difference between a murderer who does it many times for his drug turf and a Ted Bundy or Jeffrey Dahmer or John Wayne Gacy who kill because it pleases them (these guys are almost always white). Typically those driven by whatever feelings are classified serial killers. And given that whites make up 76% of the US Population, and Blacks make up 13% of the population... you are MANY TIMES more likely to be the victim of a Black Serial Killer in the US... than a White serial killer.


The most prolific US Serial Killer in History (a serial rapist/murderer) was a Black Man named Samuel Little.

I’d say simply by pure numbers. If say Mr Pickles ...randomly stabs someone 20 times and gets caught ...he’s violent. But when Mr Cucumber rapes and murders 15 women Over the course of several years/months before hes caught...I’d say he’s way more violent.

Most “violent “ crime committed on a day to day is drug related. Prob a shooting. Maybe a stabbing. Rapes ( while especially vile ) arnt reported daily. To me simply to shoot someone isn’t nearly as violent as killing and or raping multiple people. Hell ..you or I could kill an intruder to our house ...that doesn’t make us violent even though Murder is a violent crime.

I have always recognized the term "serial killer" to apply to killers whose efforts span multiple serial events.

As opposed to the (never used) term, parallel killer who would kill multiple people in a single event. Those people are usually called mass murderers.
