There was a line in the NFL Network scroller that said Ravens d-line coach, Joe Cullen, was top on list to be d-coordinater for the Jags.

The Saleh thing for instance is an example of where it just doesn't follow logic. The 49ers hired a white HC in 2017 instead of a minority candidate but are the biggest winners from the Rooney Rule in recent memory. Saleh being brought on to be DC literally had nothing to do with the Rooney Rule or giving a minority coach an opportunity. Was just flat out chosen on merit by Shannahan.

Now the 49ers are given a massive injection of high picks (2021 3rd and 2022 3rd) and not the Jets who HIRED the minority coach and gave him the massive opportunity.

    1. No team should be given a 3rd round pick based on who they hire as a HC, let alone 2
    2. If somebody does receive compensation it should be the team that made the HC hire

Jets, Dolphins, and WFT hired minority HC's in the last few years, receive nothing. 49ers hire a white HC in last few years, receive multiple 3rd round picks. Makes absolutely zero sense.

Aren't there strings attached to this new 3rd rd pick gimmick .? You don't get the picks automatically. Its like 2-3 yrs in.

That could be bad for The Ravens especially if Urban is the guy The Ravens believe can one day replace Roman.

If the Ravens believe Urban can one day replace Roman, that "one day" should be today. Don't let him leave. I think most of us have seen enough from Roman. Elevating Urban helps ensure we keep doing the things that made Lamar successful, while hopefully bringing a fresh approach to the play calling and passing game.

Usually I'm not a fan of an authoritarian head coach, but Washington is a special case. Rivera has been tasked with changing the culture of not only the football team but also the front office and staff.

I wish him luck. Getting Snyder to pick a new name would be good.
