Innovative new offense
Great article on the "Gogo Offense":
You should know Brennan Marion and his unique GoGo offense. The smartest coaches in football already do.

Re: Innovative new offense
Good article.
YES to 3 run threats. I occasionally mention how the Ravens broke records with 2 run threats, but having 3 would be better.
If you throw out pocket passing as a thing you do, not passing, but passing from the middle of a pocket of 5 big oliners who are fairly limited as to what they do and with physical attributes that are fairly standardized - big, 300+ pounds, only asked to block - you can do such a diverse assortment of crazy things. There is a vast vast set of things that could be done, never really touched before.
If Lamar wasn't such a good passer and wasn't right on the path to have the Ravens give him so much money - $40 M a year, $50 M a year - you're talking about running QB + eye candy, some of those plays - TEs standing perpenticular to the line. That was a QB run with weirdness. You take Lamar, you put in other run threats, and you put never before seen weirdness.

Re: Innovative new offense
It would be awesome to have a second QB to do some of the running things like taysom hill. Can’t risk injuries to LJ but awesome to usher in a new age of offensive football

Re: Innovative new offense
That’s an awesome system.
Make defenders think and be disciplined OR risk a long TD on every play.

Re: Innovative new offense
Thanks for posting, great article! I have thought for a couple years now that have two competent qbs on the field at the same time might be the future of football (especially if the team lacks a top end qb). Probably would be hard for a coach to risk his job on an unproven scheme but innovation is always interesting to me, and hopefully the Ravens are studying how to get as many running threats on the field at the same time (also setting up more option runs or reverses with Hollywood makes sense)
