Some of BLM's tactics are obnoxious, like demanding shows of support in, what was it.. Adams Morgan? lmfao. Real Nazi hotbed is Adams Morgan.... It was funny to me to see even that video from last night the sheer whiteness of that group of protestors. The spastic and violent and highly visible portion of the left is undeniably white. They make up most of the zealots.

My kids will start thinking about college in about 10 years.

I'm hoping by then the academic culture has changed a bit.

My son is 8 and he is super into legos, taking things apart, putting them back together, etc.

I'm hoping to keep him on that path and maybe steer him into thinking about some trades programs or something...

Sounds like me to a T at that time in my life. If you can consider a cognitive assessment around 10. I always was the type that loved systems and things and in math class I'd get grades in the 70s because I thought it asinine to show my work when I could do it in my head (3-5th grade).

My 5th grade teacher was a god send, she knew that I was different so she brought my previous teachers, admin and my family into a conference due to a lingering thought that I was like some sort of expert cheater. So at random shed throw up a few problems and I'd answer mostly verbally. Somehow, somewhere (found out when wife was in grad school for Psych) there's a working paper calling it the lego effect where it is an indicator of certain cognitive traits and rapid math cognition is one of them.

Many cant rationalize it but it's just a way some are wired I think. All that said, he may be perfect for college that's for you all to discover when the time comes, but if math is his thing bless his soul, we need more minds like so!
