Re: USPS: Good Business, Attack on Besos, or an Exercise in Voter Suppression?
De Joy just announced that the USPS will be pulling a number of high speed mail sorters in a cost cutting measure before the election.

Florida announced today that Trumps have requested absentee ballots. this just moments before the president was quoted saying "People should have to vote in person, the old fashioned way." Who could dream this stuff.

Re: USPS: Good Business, Attack on Besos, or an Exercise in Voter Suppression?
QUESTION: are all these new vote by mail states planning on shutting down in person voting? In PA for example, will people be forced to vote by mail or will they have an option? Does anyone have the answer to this?

Not following all this, been seen pics and videos online of postboxes being removed across the country.
Is this to stop mail order votes?
Are more dems likely to mail votes?
Why dont they just nip in a vote?

Re: USPS: Good Business, Attack on Besos, or an Exercise in Voter Suppression?
Because in many states, voters must fit the criteria to receive an absentee ballot (e.g. not able to return home to vote; deployed military are the largest group of absentee ballot users). I looked at the rules for a few states, and it gets pretty absurd. Here's PA:
https://www.votespa.com/Voting-in-PA...ee-Ballot.aspx
You have to meet at least one of their criteria to get an absentee ballot. But to get a mail-in ballot, there's only one: you have to be a registered voter.
So we should do the reverse, i.e. eliminate absentee ballots and allow everyone to request a mail-in ballot. Or, as some states already do, send everyone a ballot (that's the cue for the "widespread fraud" conspiracy folks to go ballistic, because, as we all should know, every one of your neighbors can forge your signature, and millions of housewives get bullied into voting for their husband's candidate [/s])."This space for rent" - Roger Goodell
