Re: Is College Football happening this year?
This is what I'm watching too. Their demands are somewhat all over the place but they want 50% of the revenue.

Re: Is College Football happening this year?
After receiving guidance from state and public health officials and consulting with football student-athletes, we've decided that @UConnFootball
will not compete on the gridiron this season.
The football student-athletes offered their thoughts in a statement. "As a team we are in full support of the decision to not compete in 2020. We have many health concerns and not enough is known about the potential long term effects of contracting COVID-19. Additionally, we have not had the optimal time to train mentally & physically to be properly prepared to compete this season. We love this game and love competing. We came to campus in the beginning of July knowing there would be challenges presented by the pandemic but it is apparent to us now that these challenges are impossible to overcome."

Re: Is College Football happening this year?
College basketball has a much better shot than college football. Given how prevalent COVID19 is in the South right now, that's a very slim chance either will happen. Especially in the SEC.

Re: Is College Football happening this year?
That's exactly why I don't think that would happen. They pull those scholarships and give them to who? The players have some leverage in this. A college team getting sick is going to look a lot worse than a pro team getting sick. Schools don't want to deal with pissed off alums and boosters over that.
