C.J. Mosley opts out
It's his decision to make (obviously), but Jets fans have got to be apoplectic about this.
Misses most of last season after injury, now shuts it down by choice.
Probably not what you're looking for out of one of the biggest FAs you've ever signed.

Re: C.J. Mosley opts out
No offense to Mosley, I like the guy. But this is why it’s great to be a Ravens fan. It’s like the Steelers with their seemingly endless supply of Wr’s they draft.
The Ravens treat any linebacker not named Ray Lewis like a Millionaire treats a sexy college student with daddy issues. We bang em out for all they’re worth when they’re young, and when they become a burden we trade them in for the newer cheaper substitute.
Think of the litany of guys who had to
Go elsewhere. Bart (my personal favorite aside from Ray), Ellerbe, Bynes, Mosley, Peanut, and on and on and on.
Now given his injuries and opting out of the season, could you imagine the hellraising that would be going on if he were still a Raven?

Re: C.J. Mosley opts out
I just called a buddy from work who is a Jets fan. He's pissed but the reason is interesting. Mosley got his $10 million roster bonus in late March and now he is opting out of being on the roster. I told him that he would have gotten that money anyway and that his contract doesn't change but he sees a player getting paid for 2 years now without any production.

If I had millions in the bank I'd opt out also. If I didn't have millions in the bank I'd opt out if I had a pre-existing condition or someone close to me did. Or I'd opt out just because it's my life, I don't owe anyone anything and my contract says I can.
Good for C.J.

Re: C.J. Mosley opts out
I wanted DeCosta to resign Mosley, but at a reasonable price. I was unhappy to see him go, but not sorry we didn't match (or beat) the Jets contract. Now, especially with the drafting of Queen and Harrison, I'm happy as a...
Are clams really happy? I wonder... Bc
