Well, then he would be available for the playoffs. I don’t think any team will sign him before Week 1, so his salary wouldn’t be guaranteed. So, if he goes off the deep end, then he could be cut without any cap ramifications.
I think the concerns about AB are overblown if he is only signed to a one year deal. I would not immediately sign him to a multi-year contract though. Just see how things go this year before making a longer term commitment.
