    Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos made $13 Billion dollars the other day, while America is on the brink of a depression. The fact that y'all believe in deregulation of markets, unfettered free markets, trickle-down economics, and cutting taxes for the wealthy is absolutely:

Amazon pays higher entry level wages than anywhere around southern PA.
Bezoar was in the right place at the tight time to capitalize on a market necessity and came through when Americans needed Amazon most. He should be rightfully rewarded for that.
How much is too much? Not for me to say.

A couple decades ago people said the same things about Bill Gates and look what he decided to spend his wealth on. Far better spent than in a government’s pockets. Musk is financing a mission to Mars. Below is also spending ungodly sums of money on space travel that NASA no longer can afford:
    Think bigger picture.

Stop it. Making money is bad - says our "libertarian" friend bandc.

Yes because enabling people to fly to Mars is SO much more important than half your population being on the brink of eviction and/or homelessness. Y'all be killing me with this stuff.

    Da Kommrade

Markets need to be tightly regulated by the central committee.

Things will not be fair until we all wait together for our ration of rice.

Free market capitalism is a great thing. Why do you think you get ondecide how much money is ‘enough’ for someone to earn????

Lol everyone knew exactly what I meant when I said I was socially libertarian, but be ignorant if you wish.

BTW tougher regulations actually help the big corporations and hurts the little guy

I note that your sense of equality and generosity apply only to other peoples' wealth and success... and not your own.

Surely there are people in need of things that you have... and yet... you have not given them.

I find this common among the advocates of "fairness"

This is why we can't have rational conversations. Y'all are so hell-bent on going to the extreme. When I and most people say police need reform, you and others stay hell-bent on the few that want to ban cops all together.

When I point out that we are living in a crazy winner-take-all economy, you go straight to me wanting to ration rice. How does that help the conversation?

Lol WHAT?? How could I not be willing to give them if I'm willing to pay slightly more taxes in a more socialist economy? Me advocating for a socialist economy LITERALLY means that I am willing to give more for the benefit of everyone.

I see... anything that does not validate your flawed view of the world is extreme.

Your economic world view destroys innovation and growth.

It ends with people standing in line for meager rations.

    Always.

This is because the economic model you propose removes the incentive for economic success.

The world is a better place because of the free market model.

    And ONLY because of it.
