You were suggesting he knowingly lied: If that’s the case I certainly blame him. If he didn’t know, well, that’s a different story.
Trump is being blamed for not knowing, but Fauci is being praised for lying about it.
I just want fairness. For all his faults(of which there are many) Trump hasn’t had a fair shake at all in his presidency:

Texas has three of the largest cities by population and still less than 5k deaths.

Funny in these racially charged times an orange man is the only one you are allowed to blame

BTW, if you’re that upset about taxes, ask yourself why the people above the middle class and corporations are getting all the tax breaks. How many jobs and middle class pay raises do stock buybacks create?
Well basically it’s because they are the ones paying the income taxes. When about the bottom 45% don’t pay income taxes, it’s hard to give them a tax cut. Plus no matter how much liberals want to say they are only going after the rich to pay for all the giveaways, the rich don’t have enough money to pay for those programs, so the middle class gets hit as well.

I’m just saying it’s kind of silly to blame Trump for not knowing how to handle this when the nations top advisor has proven repeatedly he didn’t know how to handle this...

The media branch of our government acts like Trump was supposed to know more about the virus than Fauci. THAT is my problem. If they just admitted that we all screwed it up and predicted wrong that would be fair.

    That is a great point.

The last time I did the math(it’s been a couple years). Estimates:
The top 1% paid 75% of all taxes paid
The top 10% paid 90% of all taxes paid.
    Despite the “breaks” they received.
The bottom 51% combined to pay zero. This doesn’t mean no one in the bottom 51% paid out taxes, simply that they covered the handouts the lowest received.

At the beginning it was all about hand washing and not wearing masks... we can’t ever forget that. The expert was exactly dead wrong from jump street.

It’s not that he was wrong, more then the politicians keep moving the goal posts.

When this is all over, maybe a historian will look back and see how the politics almost destroyed this country.

As of today, here are the facts
Masks are needed to stop the spread
Masks are not needed at BLM riots
Masks did not stop the spread in any of the countries that wear masks 24/7 iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, turkey are all suffering and they have been wearing masks for years
Sweden didn’t push for masks or shutdowns, and their numbers are Not bad
Florida has many testing locations reporting 100% positive rates (fraud)

Anyone that voted for the Democratic Party (that is pushing for socialism and anti government at the same time) is either ignorant or is hoping to destroy this country

I'll agree that number does seem pretty high. At the end of the day though, it is still probably 20-25% estimated... the average person pays around 14% income tax. So you think about that as the base and then all the other stuff like property taxes, vehicle taxes, sales taxes... my number isn't exactly "scientific" but I'm certain you'll agree that it is pretty close.

We should be talking about spending... not government income (AKA: Taxes)

I'm personally not that cool with the Federal Government taking $1 out of every $4-$5 I earn honestly... especially since it accomplishes nothing that were told it is accomplishing. The more liberal argument is that it is roads, firefighters, police... c'mon man... let's be serious. Those things are a nominal part of the budget. A vast majority goes towards Social Security (which is a waste), Medicare/Medicaid/CHIP/Marketplace Subsidies (majority is a waste), Defense/International Security Spending (a ton of waste).

Let's stop this nonsense of thinking that the government is helping small children out of poverty with our money... they are pissing it away at an exponential level. We spend nearly $40B on foreign aid... 1% of our tax money didn't even stay in the US intentionally!!! That isn't even including the money paid to foreign contractors btw. The government could flat tax us all at 2% and still accomplish all of the goals it is SUPPOSED to be doing with money left over for a big party for funsies.

    .
It’s way higher than that. You are leaving out 15%FICA taxes. What’s they state tax in MD like 6%? Plus aren’t the county taxes in MD like half the state tax. You are between 35 - 40% right there. Add sales tax, gas tax, all those fun hidden taxes on your cell phone
    Bill....

    Does it?

Federal Income tax, State Income Tax, Local Income tax, sales tax, property tax, auto registration tax, fuel tax, tolls for roads, sin taxes on alcohol, cigarettes etc... these are just the taxes levied directly against you.

Now with the money you have left over, you get to try to purchase goods.

The price of everything you buy is burdened enormously with direct taxes and regulatory costs that manufacturers and service providers pay to the state, that is passed directly on to you, the consumer. The cost of satisfying federal regulation alone (*according to the Mercatus Center at George Mason University) is a 4 Trillion dollar GDP penalty ($33,000 dollars per US Household)

So in direct taxes government takes about a third from the average middle class tax payer when all direct taxes are considered.

Then your purchasing power is further diluted by the cost of the tax and regulatory burden that businesses are levied, and pass directly on to you. I think it is actually a little conservative to say that this burden doubles the price of anything you buy.

That's 2/3 of your purchasing power that goes to the state.

The fact that you don't see it as a tax bill, doesn't make it any less so.
