I think the OP is trying to make something out of nothing.
I think OP is highlighting the ridiculous nature to which "I'm offended" has sunk in this nation.

    We used to be Americans

We're now a culture of hyphenated subdivisions, identified by some characteristic nobody should really give a shit about... with "victimhood" as the badge of our virtue... with everyone at everyone else's throats because they aren't getting enough victim-love.

I miss the days where men were actual men.

    Thou who has brought us thus far on the way;
Thou who has by Thy might,
    Led us into the light,
Keep us forever in the path, we pray.
Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee,
    everyday we lit
    Shadowed beneath thy hand,
    May we forever stand,
    True to our God,
    True to our native land.
There are many right-wing atheists as well, just so you know.

This is easy for you to say. Let me guess, you are a white middle-aged male.

Isn't the supposed intent of all of these efforts, to make race, gender and sexual orientation irrelevant?

So that people don't care about it?

I nearly threw a brick through the tv when we decided to wear those hideous yellow pants.

As an atheist, I don’t really care. If it replaces that awful God bless the USA song, it’s even a plus.

Actually, this is a common misconception, which I also used to have. Even though we wish it weren't so, racial discrimination is real. You can't fight it by saying it doesn't exist or that "I don't see race." It just doesn't work that way. You have to take positive actions to fight it, and to do this, you must definitely "see race."

No it's not. Fighting injustice is not supremacy.
