addiction is hell. props to anyone who recovers. props to celebrities who use their platform to briefly speak out about their struggles, because it helps raise awareness and remove the stigma around it.

but, for the love of god, please let this be one of the last times he talks publicly about it. he's going to be one insufferable prick if he tries to do a talk-show circuit, and with the sports world at a near halt it'll get so much goddamn coverage. longform 20 page articles in The Atlantic and SI that are pulitzer nominees. And can you imagine a fucking 60 Minutes with that guy? oof. i need a shot of pepto bismol just imagining it.
