Instead of Warriors ,how about Washington Commandos?

How about pick an animal, any animal, instead of dicking around with names that refer to war or ethnic groups?

Washington Wombats
Washington Warthogs (they already have a group called the Hogs)
Washington Alligators (it's a swamp, right?)

It might be because Carolina fired theirs and Rivera could want them.

Yea, that would be Don Warren, who:
1. Had a 14-year career with the Washington <InsertNameHere>, and;
2. Has spent the last decade working with Rivera at Carolina as a Pro Scout. Seems like a logical fit.

Well, when they were going to decide on the name for the Baltimore franchise when they moved from Cleveland, the NFL wanted to call the team the Baltimore Rhinos before the name Ravens was chosen. So, how about the Washington Rhinos?

I did see a PFT story where there is a guy who has spent over $20,000. trademarking names since 2013. They might be bargaining with him.

Or, since the US trademark system is "use-based", they might be establishing the commercial use of the name so they can tell him to fark off. Unless the guy has actually used the name commercially.

Trademark squatters should be eaten by rats.
