One of my friends is a DC cop, been one for many years now. He's also been frustrated for years. Fortunately he is no longer on the streets( though I think he would prefer to be)and is in charge of a group of officers. Whenever we go out with them as a couple, he is always getting work related calls. He's basically on call 24/7. I would hate that. It's a tough, thankless job and he's counting the days till he can retire.

This proves you have not paid a lick of attention to this case outside of confirming your own bias. Officer Rolfe never kicked Brooks. Instead he is seen and heard administering medical aid after calling for an ambulance.

Brooks assaulted police while resisting arrest, grabbed a dangerous weapon and fired it at the officers. One officer was struck and was injured. Brooks fired at the other officer. Yes, he should've been killed.

If you fire a deadly weapon at the police, yes, you should be killed. Brooks was a particularly nasty piece of work, out on parole for kidnapping, child abuse, and domestic violence. That's the guy rioters burned down a business for.

Police fire tasers at citizens every day. So I question whether it truly deadly. I know they consider it such. Logically, if it were truly deadly, they wouldn't administer as regular as they do. But, it's a great excuse for them to clear themselves from knee jerk shootings.

You know what though...it's all good. Folks are mad because of people rising up...forcing changes. I guess it's making alot of people uncomfortable. Trying to pick at anything to nullify the bigger picture. I'm sure protests like this in yesteryear had the naysayers as well. For those who don't understand...it's ok. I don't expect those who may resent this whole movement to understand. I just try to lend perspective to maybe change a few minds. At the end of the day, we all know this is a complex and nuanced issue.

I don't resent people trying to end police brutality. It's a laudable goal we have all voiced support for.

I resent hypocrites like you who are directly responsible for the systemic hurdles faced by black Americans yet never once fail to let your Woke Flag fly to signal your unending virtue. That means suppressed income for at least a decade which directly affects the ability of people in those areas to make money and improve their financial situation.
