And, frankly, they fucked up. They totally botched COVID19.

When you fuck up at work to the degree in which they did, you get fired.

They deserved to be fired.

No, the CDC has been a bit of a hot mess as well through all of this. Very confused messaging, statements, guidance, etc.

The US has much more control over the CDC though.

That was the problem, many or most people took whatever they said as gospel, not helping the situation at times.

Well, they're the CDC...you know? They're supposed to be the subject matter experts for all things diseases. Lol. The fact that their messaging was so confusing is an indictment of poor leadership in my opinion.
