Rank your 16 starting AFC QBs

Because yay rankings. But I think it's a worthy exercise during the down season.

Here are, according to most sources, your 16 projected starting QBs in the AFC:

    AFC East

    - Josh Allen
    - Sam Darnold
    - Ryan Fitzpatrick
    - Cam Newton (formerly Jarrett Stidham)

    AFC North
    - Joe Burrow
    - Lamar Jackson
    - Baker Mayfield
    - Ben Roethlisberger

    AFC South
    - Gardner Minshew
    - Philip Rivers
    - Ryan Tannehill
    - DeShaun Watson

    AFC West
    - Derek Carr
    - Drew Lock
    - Patrick Mahomes
    - Tyrod Taylor

If you feel like doing/adding tiers feel free

Also how many of these guys do you think remain the starting QB for their team? Injuries not included.

Chargers have a good squad. They might as well just throw Herbert out there instead of Tyrod.

I got these as the least likely to go thru the season without being replaced:

    Ryan Fitzpatrick
    Gardner Minshew
    Tyrod Taylor

    And if you include injuries:
    Philip Rivers

(Dude hasn't missed a start in 14 years, so I'm not sure what corner of my butt I'm pulling that out of, but whatever.)

Tannyhill and Taylor have long been some of my favorite QB's who never really got a shot. Both are fast and have good passing stats but never took that next step. Even if Taylor wasn't getting a shot behind Joe if I'm building a team over the last seven or eight years, I take either Taylor or Tannyhill over most of the QB's drafted.

Ryan Tannehill has 98 career starts. How did he never get a shot?

With a good team, I mean. He's not a QB who can be the focal point of an offense, like Jackson or Mahomes, but he's an above average starter.

Fahey has rated Tannehill pretty highly for a couplefew seasons now, and says that what Tannehill showed this year is for real. He just needed to get out from under Adam Gase's thumb.

Seems like a lot to swallow. But I've been taking Fahey more and more seriously over the last year or so. A whole lot of the surprising things he says turn out to be true.
