Re: Breonna Taylor
This is just another reason why this "war on drugs" is racist and BS. There's no reason on God's green earth why all of this needs to happen for a non violent offense. Of course I'm offended when someone dies because of some imaginary drug bust, especially when they were working as an EMT during this Coronavirus time. You should be offended too.

I agree. As I said, there are many other ways to proceed in a case like this. This Rambo style of "drug enforcement" needs to stop, except when absolutely, positively necessary. I'm a pretty conservative guy, but even I have come around to saying that this so-called war on drugs isn't working. Especially this type of operation.

Re: Breonna Taylor
Yes, but the suspect actually named on the warrant worked as an EMT!! And they are not allowed to carry guns. They could've easily arrested her while she was at her job, instead of shooting her from outside of her house. Neither of the people who lived in that house had NO criminal history whatsoever, but somehow law enforcement feels the need to conduct a no knock raid??
Also, they arrested the actual drug dealer earlier that day and at MOST should've considered her an accessory to crimes. There was no need for this reaction to a non violent offense, especially when Breonna had no violent offense on her record.

Re: Breonna Taylor
Body Camera- if you are worried about people destroying evidence that would assume to continue after you have entered the home, correct? Flushing drugs after your door is broken down is as cliche as it gets but I believe that’s because it’s a real thing.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have that on camera?
If we can afford to put a gun in every cops holster and a car for him to drive around, not sure we can’t afford to put a camera on every officer nationwide.

Re: Breonna Taylor
I would bet pretty safely that 99% of violent drug dealers don't work as EMT'S saving people's lives. Also she didn't even own a gun. Her boyfriend who shot the policeman in self defense legally owned the one gun he had.
I expect the NRA to come to his defense soon

Re: Breonna Taylor
Of course I want police to come home to their families too, but let's have common sense! This wasn't exactly busting El Chapo here. She had ZERO criminal history and was easily available for questioning/arrest during the course of her normal working hours as an EMT. Do you really think that busting down her door was the best approach?
