There are certain positions that matter more in the current meta of football. There's examples of running backs who are done after a year of heavy usage. I do think value matters.

    Yup.

You realize the Ravens wiped their ass with the "meta" last season to the tune of a 14-2 season, right? There's more than one way to skin a cat.

For those who don't like it because we didn't draft for need, remember that Ray Rice was a completely unnecessary pick at the time too.

Once again, I know there's more than one way, but WHO IS OUT HERE SKINNING CATS??!! I mean I'm a dog person, but this seems really mean.

Also, I like the pick. How do you improve or at least maintain the most prolific running offense in the NFL? Um, with guys like this.

Yep. Willis McGahee was only 27 and coming off a ~1200 yard season iirc

Bingo. I didn’t see it with Hill last year as a runner. Runs fast in a straight line and can catch. That’s about it. Not much wiggle or break tackle ability.

To follow up your point they probably want to cut down both of Ingram and Lamar’s carries.

From a pure RB position standpoint, the addition of Dobbins is a plus. Ingram can give you the quality of a versatile back, but not the workload. He’s never had that type of workload. Edwards is a one-dimensional runner.

    Dobbins has Feature back potential.

Better hope the young OL will have the same type of season again for that to happen. Dobbins can't block for himself.
