Here it is. Could have made it a little nicer but used a lot of scrap pieces to reduce cost

Just ordered all of the lumber, attachments, and concrete to start on my backyard tree house this weekend. Hoping to get the 4x4 post set.

Very nice coop, NC. Your chickens should be happy birds w/their new digs.

Sounds like a cool project. Tree houses are fun.

Is it a tree house or a fort on stilts?

4 mature chestnut oak trees will be involved.

Just trying to understand the need for 4x4's.

4? What are you? The Swiss family Robinson?

    Lol.

So, basically 3 of the trees are in a cluster that’s about 6’x6’. The 4th tree is about 10’ away and basically all of the desirable attachment points make a triangle. I am adding a 4”x4” post to make the tree house deck more rectangular so there is more of an area for the kids to hang out up there. I’m only making it about 5’ off the ground at its highest point. My kids are 7 and 4...don’t want them falling from some crazy height.

Attached is kind of a rough design concept.

Went to Home Depot today to pick up a few small items....fucking line wrapped around the building to get in. They're only letting so many people in at a time now.

Went to the county landfill because they sell compost/mulch a lot cheaper than you'd get it from a big box store....

...denied. No residential access. Just commercial access.

I'm really glad I took a shit load of recycling/trash there a few weeks ago.

Yup. My truck bed is filled with yard waste/branches and construction debris and I have a shitload of warped/bad boards to bring back to TW Perry. I need more straight 1x6x5' boards to finish my fence too. But the county is acting weird. What the fuck. Those guys never have to get within 10 feet of anyone working the dump. So stupid.
