I think Suggs playing 10-15 snaps a game could still be good. People talk about McPhee for that role but what about the guy we kept instead of him the first time. His numbers last season weren't bad - 13 TFL, 6.5 SCK, 12 QBH, 4 FF, 1 FUMR - and he would be more effective if we limited his snaps.

He's a lot more durable than McPhee too.

Is Suggs a free agent though? Don't think the chiefs cut him.

No he was claimed (as well as his contract) off waivers.

It's that early part that would worry me about Matthews - he be good in September then disappear when we need him. Last year he got 6 sacks by week 5 and only 2 after that.

And last year as well. He was actually pretty consistent through 2017, but in 2016 he posted 6 sacks through 9 games and only had 2 (both in the same game) through the final 7. In 2018 he had 5.5 through the first 7 games and only 1.5 over the final 9. And last year he had 5 sacks through 7 games and 1.5 over the last 9.
