If I was GM I would take Pierce 27 (especially for 27 mill/ 3 years) over Brockers 29 (I like him a lot) and Campbell 34.

Ravens playing 3-4, 3-3, 2-3, 1-3 and with much more use of DBs than most.

Not sure if Brockers or Campbell is prepared or fit to play in our system.

So Pierce had a down year and was fat last year.. What is wrong with a downyear after his first 3 solid seasons.. less money and place for improvement!

Blame BW and Pierce all you want, our problem was never really their if both was playing, except from Judon it was rest of the front seven and the most talentless Ravens LB core ever. Helped by LJ and his points and TOP game, DC, DL and secondary.

Do guys who opt out still get paid? I would think not. Also, what if a guy has a 1-year contract and chooses to opt out for this year. Is he still under contract for next year?

I believe it is essentially a 365 day pause. Same contract terms next year.

You think he's Obese now, wait until he goes one full year with no training camp and no football. He's going to report to Vikings training camp at 500 lbs next year.
