I like our second-year WRs, and think we'll draft someone in rd 1 or 2; but I would not be comfortable with that move. Esp with Hurst gone. I think we still need Snead.

Now that we have a crapload of picks, I wonder if we just bite the bullet and sign Judon to flatten the cap hit for a few years (depending on the cost). We certainly have plenty of options now.

The 'depending on the cost' part is the sand in the KY jelly. Dudes are getting paid, and Judon is going to want to be one of them. If I'm him, you either back up the truck for me or I play under the tag and we do this dance again next year.

Yup. I'm not a huge Snead fan, but I'd rather pay him $6m to play for us than pay him $6m to play elsewhere.

You know how I roll; I’m not a “need” or perceived “need” draft strategy guy.

Plugging in holes via FA makes it easier/possible for the scouting department to create and stay true to a BPA plan.

I like Carr and I hope to bring him back at a lesser rate but declining his option is a no-brainer at this point.

As great as that story sounds, apparently they didn't use that Vikings' fifth rounder from the Vedvik trade to acquire Campbell. They used the fifth rounder from Atlanta in the Hurst trade to acquire Campbell.

Atlanta picks nine spots ahead of the Vikings this year so the gave up the better fifth rounder in the Campbell deal.

You can net it out as a four-way trade, of sorts between Baltimore, Atlanta, New England and Jacksonville, with Buffalo have a little part of it too:

Baltimore gave up Hayden Hurst and the rights to WR John Brown (who netted them the fourth round comp pick (143) used in the Hurst)... and in return they got Calais Campbell from Jacksonville and a 2nd round pick from Atlanta (acquired from New England)

Atlanta turned Mohammed Sanu (who got them pick 55) and their fifth round pick (157)...into Hayden Hurst and a fourth round pick (243).
