Every time the dude gets in the clear seems like he trips on his own di**. I don't think he quite understands he's the CEO of our government and commenting is not always appropriate.

Ironically it's probably safer for him to tweet this then send an email or ask for a meeting. This way at least it's out in the open so people know he's not scheming and some whistleblower douche can't lie about it and turn it into a secret conspiracy.

Why would they recommend 9 years for stone?? Where are the charges against people that provided fake intel to the fisa court to obtain illegal warrants???

Actually, I think Barr and Trump are brilliant and are playing the DEMS like a fiddle.

Just two days ago, the left was calling for Barr to resign. now they love him.

I think this could be part of it. And it keeps Trump in the news and not the Democrat candidates.

That said, Trump could have toned down what he said.

Dems don't know how to take this. Barr is clearing up DNC BS, but also took a swipe at Trump. Right now you can hear their heads explode because they don't know how to handle it. You have some of them cheering on Barr, and some of them still going after him.

Truthfully... Trump needs to shut up and let Barr do his job. Is that 9 year sentence egregious? Yes... Is it Trump's job? No... Barr has shown to be competent, and Trump could have just brought this up in a meeting.

I look at it from the other end of the scale. For an entire generation, the left has been able to say anything, accuse anything, and attack anyone. And the media will always back the left. Now we have Trump, and he sees that the voters love him fighting back. If Trump didn't tweet, we would really have to dig deep to learn of the successes that he is having. We used to see poll numbers all of the time when a liberal would start to rise, or when a conservative would start to drop. But with Trumps approval rising, I haven't seen a news report on this in a long time. (yes, my wife likes to watch Lester holt each night, so I do see the news)

Trump as been brutally attacked with unfounded attacks for the past 3 years. He won a major victory with the aquital. And the news is still attacking him. So for Trump to fight back, I think it is great. I am in that camp that would like to see him tweet more. For every attack the news or dems throw at him, I want a tweet in response.

Why don't we hear anyone talking about the left attacking too much? or the media running negative hit pieces on him too much. The tweets are working for him, and the left knows this. That is the only reason we hear about how the tweets are "hurting" trump. IF they were really hurting him, the left would get out of the way, and hope he tweets more

Actually seeing as how the DOJ is in the executive branch it IS trumps job. Anything about the doj trump decides is his job.

Ungh... YES. That is true. But the DOJ and White House SHOULD have a little separation (which I admit is just my opinion, and is is more about visual affect than anything). Trump should be directing overall strategy... DOJ should be worried about the day to day. Trump is seeming like a micromanager to me on this. He can just pardon him anyhow, so none of this matters. It is just the left trying to have ONE takeaway from the Russian investigation that makes it look valid.

Democrats are frothing at the mouth to send this guy to Guantanamo <---(this is hyperbole for those who don't seem to get that) for what? Lying to congress? Big deal... Brennan, Comey, McCabe all admitted to doing the same thing... should we set up their decade-long sentences too? Meanwhile, Democrats, the people who "care about children" don't seem to mind that Anthony Weiner, who sent pornographic and suggestive material to a minor (while his own child was in the room... gross) got out in about 1 year. I used to think Democrats were just hypocrites... now I just know they are bigots, racists, and don't actually care about children or women... UNLESS it provides them political advantage. They really do repulse me.
