Thread: Biden

    Biden

He just called a young woman a lying dog faced pony soldier. What the hell!?

This after asking if she's ever been to a caucus before.

    Is he electable?

I guess he'll pick up steam here soon but really. How does that even come out of your mouth when running for president.

For most people that would be the end of their candidacy. For Crazy Uncle Joe it's just another day breathing.

Yeah, I agree. I don't think he's electable, but in today's political environment, who knows? To me, the real question is, what's the DNC have in store for a backup plan? Bloomberg. I imagine they wouldn't mind another "establishment" candidate like Warren, but can she pull it off? I doubt it. I think they are coalescing behind Bloomberg and his money. The other obvious wildcard is Crazy Uncle Bernie, whom they are probably worried to death about right now. Grab some popcorn.....

I feel not, but the standards for Presidential decorum have dropped, which I dont think many even here would disagree with. If youre ok with the one, Im not sure how you can dismiss the other for similar, or the opposite for that matter. personally, I have i higher standard and expect more regardless of party. He could become another candidate people dont like but support his policies, which many Trump supporters have argued in defense of their support.

Ive told my friends that I feel Biden vs Trump would just be a shit show of two 75+ year old men talking about kicking each others asses and trading insults that nobody really wants to see outside politics (imagine two elderly men in the street of your neighborhood doing the same). I mean I guess some would enjoy the entertainment factor, but for me its just a sad state of where we are. we can all do better, and deserve better.

IMO, theres plenty of good people with the same political views that these two portray that wouldnt change anything about political choice, just offer better people behind them. Im not sure Biden will be the choice ultimately, but theres not a good one in the DNC regardless (I do like Tulsi best), so a shit show is what well have.

Biden is telling voters to not vote for them. He's challenging them to pushup contests. He's calling them fat. Now, he's calling them liars.

I don't think this is a "decorum" issue.

My grandfather didn't shit his pants at 80 and call me Martha for 3 years because of "decorum."

I think what was weird about it is he did to "her" face in the context of a town hall. Just weird. Trump is abrasive and obnoxious and I can see him giving the woman a pshaw or "give me a break" then turning it into an attack on his opponents. Joe just went after her. And he chose a really bizarre insult to do so.

Dude you have to admit Joe is kind of a weird dude.

I do. 4 years ago we had a guy making fun of mentally ill folks and talking about how huge his hands are. SSDD.

This has been debunked for years.

Marco Rubio gave an interview and detailed how little Trump's hands/dick were and Trump defended himself and he did it in a funny way.

Trump wasn't insulting voters. THAT is what Biden is doing. Biden is getting into it w/people who are attending his "gatherings" and town hall events and calling them names and insulting them.

That's not decorum. That's a grandpa who needs to take some Cialis, sit on a hill w/his wife and watch the sun set. I bet Joe is wearing diapers at all his public appearances.

    absolutely.

in no way am i defending him. just the opposite actually. I think both are unfit based on the way they talk and act. Its outside what i find to be presidential decorum as a representative of all of us.

I dont care the root cause for those words and acts, whether that be a mental disorder like Alzheimers (which i believe Rav was referring to) or personality disorder like NPD, the fact that its being said or done at all i have an issue with. I dont think im sharing anything new when I say Trumps called reporters dumb to their face, hes commented on voters not voting for him in particular areas or states, hes clearly name called people fat and liars among other insults. If youve used the phrase "its just words" then I question whats the difference? to me i see a lot of crossover, and if anything I think Biden is trying to play tough in a similar way. I dont think its genuine on top of any other concerns I have for it, which i do think theres something wrong there.

Reporter: What do you say to your critics who say you're the head of a cult?

    Trump: What a stupid question.

Voter: Mr Biden, what will you do about your son getting rich from Ukraine?

Biden: You don't know what you're talking about, Fat. I can do more pushups than you!

    yeah, same thing.

Oh no. I grew up in Delaware and had the (mis)fortune of him being our senator. He has always been an arrogant/ignorant dude, way back to the days of him being junior senator from Delaware. He just has worse impulse control now that he’s older.
