Fine! When July rolls around and they can’t extend him maybe EDC can jump on that then! (The stuff Dreams are made of)!

On a long term deal Jones will cost less against the cap this year than the franchise tag number. Extending Jones frees up space this year

Per PFT the Browns are emerging as a player in the Clowney sweepstakes. That is not good news and they still have 43 million in cap space.

Clowney and Garrett together still aren’t catching LJ

If they sign Clowney they'll cut Oliver and pump more cap space into their bucket. I'm not too worried about it though...

I was kind of hoping they'd cut Olivier anyway.

So the Ravens can pick him up for less money correct? Boy what a move that would be

Indeed. And he wouldn't count against comp pick formula.

That would be one reason, IMO, why signing Clowney could make some sense for the Ravens (if they can figure out how to afford him).

Sign him to a 1-yr deal...he balls out...let him get paid somewhere else and likely get a 3rd round pick out of it.

I like the Vernon scenario better because the Browns would mismanage their money while making a lateral move and we can upgrade and laugh at them.

I mean that’s definitely not a lateral move for them but I still wouldn’t mind it for us

That would figure since the Browns are a circus... Bc
