Wtf is wrong with him lol. Also, with a slow offseason, any controversial social media posts will be "big news." Not smart!

The Browns and DE Olivier Vernon have agreed to a renegotiated contract, per source. Vernon, previously due $15.25M non-guaranteed, gets $11M guaranteed through a $7M signing bonus, $3.75M base salary and a $250K workout bonus, plus $2M more available via incentives.

Why give so much guaranteed money to a guy who misses significant time each year? Are they that desperate for cap space?

Crazy that the Desean Jackson story...in which he literally quoted Hitler...seems to be barely a blip on the radar outside of Twitter. It's an interesting comparison to what happened after Brees made the comments he did and the immediate public and player outcry - which were wrong as well, but one of these is clearly far worse than the other. Makes a lot of people and players look like hypocrites. You're either against all forms of hate or you aren't.

"On his Instagram story feed, Jackson featured a quote that he attributed to Hitler that said white Jews "will blackmail America. [They] will extort America, their plan for world domination won't work if the Negroes know who they were."

"Anyone who feels I have hate towards the Jewish community took my post the wrong way," he posted on his Instagram story."

LOL, and at the same time. DeSean I don't think anyone took your post the wrong way... Bc

I saw that, and his apology too, neither is good enough IMO. The dude quoted Hitler. For me the typical PR responses like "We are disappointed" and "are not condoned or supported by the organization" aren't anywhere close to enough here.

Agreed. Disappointing to see, and I criticized Brees but this is way worse.
