I see that the O's have discontinued Fan Fest, in favor of road show suburban visits by a few payers. Down this way, we'll be having visits to Annapolis City Dock & to Bowie on Feb 8th.

I don't get their logic. They should have complemented the Convention Center Fan Fest with the suburban visits. The worst team in MLB is in direct competition with the World Series Champs for fans in the four counties between the two cities. Although I gave up my O's season tix after getting disgusted by the 2018 housecleaning, I'll always be an o's fan, but any friends & neighbors got on the Nats wagon last year.

As to "Happy Friday":

-- wrapping up unpacking from our last cruise (arrived a few days ago) and repack for the next one in late April along with two adult children & spouse and 4 grandkids, to Bermuda.

-- Checking out local home college basketball games for something to do this winter (every suburban college except Terps, whom I have boycotted since they jilted the ACC). UMBC & Navy have very accessible arenas.

-- starting income tax returns. This used to take us a week sold. Multple returns & schedules etc. Now down to a few hours after my daughter set us up with on-line record-keeping system which we fill in monthly and roll up data to tax forms every early February.

The Polar Bear Plunge (the main event) is tomorrow. Time to go freeze everything off!
