This isn't the ravens MO to make a big splash like this. They value their picks so why waste it on one player when they have glaring needs at inside LB, Interior OL and WRs?

The Ravens don't have glaring needs anywhere. But they really Can't trade up to 1/2. If the Ravens don't bring back Judon, they have a glaring need at edge. But other than that, the Ravens have a lot of their players, especially on offense, already signed for next year, and they went 14-2, so, they really don't have to improve, they just need to stay the same.

I don't necessarily agree with this. I think the team needs a legit edge rusher opposite of Judon, a alpha Dog presence at ILB, and I'd say two interior OL players that are just nasty. And I do think we need a WR that can consistently win on the perimeter because now people think they have the blue print to slowing the offense down and the perimeter pass is the antidote IMO. Someone that can consistently win on Outs, Comebacks and verticals against 1v1 coverage will get people out of the strategy that the Bills and Titans deployed quickly.

What it would take, you'd have to hope that the Ravens slip him some intel about how to fail his interviews and piss GMs and coaches off so that he drop to our pick.

Being hyped up as the next Bosa is a different thing from actually BEING the next Bosa. The list of top-of-draft pass rushers who have flamed out is longer than the list that has become studs. Making a trade like that is the kind of things stupid and unsuccessful franchises do.

Forget about us drafting the big names. God willing, it will be a long time before we ever even sniff a top-10 pick again (barring some Jamal Lewis-type trade.)

James Laurinitus formerly of the Rams now covers Ohio State. He said the same thing. The reason is the physical body structure of Chase Young. Chase has all the production of the Bosas but is longer and leaner. He sounds like the OLB version of Julius Peppers
