Edge rush, inside linebackers. The offense put up 30+ per game with two rookie and Willie Snead at WR. We had a few bad turnovers, and got lit up by Ryan Tannehill and Derick Henry after their defense was able to sit back and dare us to throw when they knew that was our only option to get back into the game. They got very lucky early on, and forced us out of our typical game plan.

Since the skill players on offense are under long term contracts already, the smart place to spend money is on the defense, so we don't give up 7 off a turnover. You fix the turnovers with a little bit more experience (read: Lamar, calm down at the start of a game).

We were a top 5 defense by the end of the season, in addition to being the highest scoring offense in the league. We don't need to change a lot, but the front 7 needs the most work out of any unit on this team.

There is no way that both of these things happen. That will leave almost no room for any other moves for the rest of the season.

This team wins with offense. That means maximizing our offensive potential. We need better receivers to win the kind of games where we get behind and have to become a passing team. We would have beaten Tennessee if we had receivers that could catch the ball.

Again - we LED THE NFL in points with the receivers we had, half of our top 4 of which were rookies. The top 12 highest scoring teams in the history of the NFL have combined for 0 championships (we're #12). In fact, the only team in the top 20 all time in points scored to win a championship was the 1999 Rams.

Offenses slow down as the weather gets cold. Passing becomes more difficult, running becomes more predictable, and they grind to a halt. Defenses don't fall off just because the weather gets nasty.

Fix the defense, let the offense improve with experience, not hired guns.

Go get AJ Green. Don't do to Lamar what they did to Flacco - ignore the offensive talent at the expense of the defense. THE BEST DEFENSE IS TO KEEP THE OFFENSE ON THE FIELD.

    Let these guys walk:
Judon - product of system, not a difference maker
Skura- like him but he won’t play next year, injury settlement.
Carr/Smith - keep one, prefer Smith and give Smith the option of staying.
Pierce - sorry big fella, you are going to get paid a lot elsewhere.

    Target:
AJ Green or a soon to be released WR
Yannick - spend money on the elite not Judon
C Jones - if we can’t get Yannick

    Draft:
    C, MLB -early
    G, DL -mid
    CB -late

I have to agree with this. I just can't see us coming out of the off-season without a serious overall of our front 7. Our linebackers are mostly either underwhelming draft picks and guys straight from the trash heap. What happens in the Titans game if after the Andrews tip pick the defense gets a stop, and perhaps after the second offensive blunder, the defense holds them to 3? We are looking at a completely different game.

Of course if Yanda retires Oline becomes a major priority as well. If we go receiver I say get a guy that can compete with Boykin, and most likely beat him out if he doesn't take the next step, perhaps someone like Tyler Boyd. I don't think we need to go too expensive at WR, even though it would be really nice to have a true stud wide out on the field with Hollywood. I just think the defense is a much more pressing concern

I suspect Jacksonville will Franchise Yannick and if he doesn't want to be there they'll try to sell him to the highest bidder for draft picks.
