Re: DRAFT: Post your 1st Pick Mock Draft

My Draft! I expect a lot of our Edge/Pass Rush needs to be addressed in free agency, but I still made it a need. I wish we could find a way to replace Wormley, as the guy does nothing and hasn't made a play all year.

    28: R1P28
    LB KENNETH MURRAY
    OKLAHOMA
    60: R2P28
    WR JALEN REAGOR
    TCU
    92: R3P28
    G SHANE LEMIEUX
    OREGON
    126: R4P23
    EDGE ALTON ROBINSON
    SYRACUSE
    131: R4P28
    DL RAEQUAN WILLIAMS
    MICHIGAN STATE
    136: R4P33
    EDGE CHAUNCEY RIVERS
    MISSISSIPPI STATE
    145: R4P42
    LB JORDYN BROOKS
    TEXAS TECH
    170: R5P24
    WR JAUAN JENNINGS
    TENNESSEE
    225: R7P11
    RB MICHAEL WARREN II

Kenneth Murray seems to be the most popular pick. Definitely need to watch him and other ILBs in the coming weeks.
    "That's not Donovan McNabb."

This is the kind of outside the box thinking that EDC could employ. His work seems to work more by catastrophe theory - change happens all at once, quickly in a way you aren't going back to the way you were before. All the molecules flip over at once.

    Downsides
You delay getting a usable first round pick for a year
Potential delay of improving your team for a year
    Lose Roman
    Could fail

    Upsides
    Significant backup for Lamar
Improves first round pick from end of the round 2020 to beginning of the round 2021
Net extras first round and extra second round picks
Urban should be ready for OC role by then - Continuity
Significantly improved team in year 4 of Lamar's rookie deal - turbo charge

Sell it as recreating the Ravens with a turn-key setup. They could even ask for more than what I suggest and use that as the fall back position. Plus the picks will likely be high in the round and will significantly improve the team, perhaps for a decade.

How many first round picks have we seen wasted away? Yes EDC should fare better, but if you have a chance to move from bottom of the first to top of the first that's insane improvement for waiting a year. This would be an amazing thing to pull off and no one would be expecting it.

Pipe dream to think we're gonna get two firsts and a second. I don't agree with trading roman anyway

Re: DRAFT: Post your 1st Pick Mock Draft

TDN's Mock Draft Machine with Trades (wooohooo!!!)

Assuming we let Judon walk but we sign interior pass rush in FA.

    Traded 28th pick for Colts' 34 & 75
    Then traded 34th pick for Browns' 41 & 90
    Then Browns' 41 & 90 for Colts' 47 & 78
    Then my own 124 & 152 for Vikings (I think) 99

End result: 47, 60, 75, 78, 99, 2 late 4th rounders (comp picks not yet awarded), 7th rounder (conditional from Pats)

    47 Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE - Penn State
    60 K.J. Hamler, WR - Penn State
75 Rashard Lawrence, IDL - LSU
78 Denzel Mims, WR - Baylor
99 Damien Lewis, IOL - LSU
4th comp Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB - Appalachian State
4th comp Jordan Fuller, S - Ohio State
7th cond Levonta Taylor, CB - Florida State
