This might be my favorite draft for the offense that I’ve had, and the defensive side turned out pretty damn okay. I didn’t really dive into prospects as early as usual this year but Lynn Bowden is quickly becoming one of my favorite mid-round prospects. He needs some polish but I think he’s a pretty perfect fit here with his athleticism, versatility, and toughness.

Adding Bowden along with Shenault would keep GRo up for nights on end with the wrinkles he could add, and Taylor’s value in the second just goes without saying.
Nice draft. Love the early picks but I really like the late picks.

Davis -Gaither::: love that kid. Big motor. No quit.
Lemieux ::nice IOL. Should be plug and play with our coaches.
Throckmorton:::::dude plays nasty! You know that’s me.

He won't last till the third. Crazy some of these draft simulation rankings.

Re: DRAFT: Post your 1st Pick Mock Draft

Using PFN's new mock draft simulator with a few moves:

    44 Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE - Penn State
Not a great fan of YGM, at least in the first round. At 44 he was BPA and you can't deny the upside.

55 Lloyd Cushenberry III, IOL - LSU
A no brainer, once Ruiz was gone. Ravens don't seem too keen on moving Boze to C, Skura's recovery is up in the air, Lloyd can be a plug and play option with Mekari as backup for C and G.

    60 Kyle Dugger, S - Lenoir-Rhyne
We play so much nickel and dime that fast, versatile LB/S guys make a lot of sense.

    75 Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB - Appalachian State
Same line of thought, but coming from the LB angle.

92 Van Jefferson, WR - Florida
Great route runner, very good hands. Nothing more to add.

106 Jordyn Brooks, LB - Texas Tech
    The more traditional run stopper.

129 Ben Bredeson, IOL - Michigan
I'm not gonna pretend I know shit about OL play. So trusting GWNR here.

148 James Proche, WR - SMU
Jeremiah has just tweeted he has the best hands in the 2020 Draft. This year's, stronger-ish Hunter Renfrow. He can't do everything, but what he does...

160 McTelvin Agim, IDL - Arkansas
Campbell and Wolfe are great but short-term additions, so some developmental DL doesn't seem a bad idea.

There's a lot of fungibility right now with prospect rankings but i think this is deep draft overall and in terms of 1st round quality and WR depth through round 4ish.

I'm not sure why McTelvin Agim is rated higher tho

    Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 28: Austin Jackson, OT, USC (A)
-Fills an OG hole w/ a plug and play starter that could provide down the road insurance at an OT spot

Round 2 Pick 23: Jordan Elliott, DT, Missouri (B+)
-Adds depth and interior pass rush in Okie as 5-tech and 3 tech in nickel/dime/passing downs

Round 2 Pick 28: Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin (A+)
-Stud takes the running position from good to great

Round 3 Pick 28: Chase Claypool, WR, Notre Dame (A+)
-struggled w/ this pick because from a skillset standpoint reminds me of Miles Boykin but a that point in the draft he was the clear BPA for me

Round 3 Pick 42 (COMP): Jordyn Brooks, ILB, Texas Tech (A+)
-Thumper ILB w/ good speed and range

    Round 4 Pick 23: Gage Cervenka, C, Clemson (A+)
-don't know much other then he's a big kid that plays center and I like size at the center spot

Round 4 Pick 37 (COMP): Troy Pride, CB, Notre Dame (A+)
-good all around CB was BPA for me

Round 5 Pick 11: Jeremy Chinn, FS/SS, Southern Illinois (A+)
-tweener Safety - LB great numbers

Round 7 Pick 11: McTelvin Agim, DT, Arkansas (A+)
-clear BPA and in reality I believe will be drafted much higher

Re: DRAFT: Post your 1st Pick Mock Draft

Jeremy Chinn is going closer to Rd 2 than Rd 5.

Re: DRAFT: Post your 1st Pick Mock Draft

    And yet another PFN mock...

34 Cesar Ruiz, IOL - Michigan
    55 Antoine Winfield, S - Minnesota
74 Bryan Edwards, WR - South Carolina
    75 Akeem Davis-Gaither, LB - Appalachian State
97 Jordyn Brooks, LB - Texas Tech
    106 A.J. Green, CB - Oklahoma State
134 Shane Lemieux, IOL - Oregon
160 Stephen Sullivan, TE - LSU
170 McTelvin Agim, IDL - Arkansas
225 Malcolm Perry, RB - Navy
