Re: Are teams trying to hurt Lamar?
He has similar hits in Bengals game to Hollywood and td pass to Snead in Rams game. Low hits while throwing.

Re: Are teams trying to hurt Lamar?
Lamar is more at risk in the pocket than he is when he is running.
In the pocket he starts out as a stationary TARGET - in the ACT OF THROWING in the pocket he is a STATIONARY TARGET.

Re: Are teams trying to hurt Lamar?
I am sure the Ravens have put the refs on notice for tomorrow night.

Re: Are teams trying to hurt Lamar?
Imo as a former non pro football player no.
If you are trying to tackle. Superior athlete, you hit them low.
I'd hit D. Henry in his ankles ND hold on for dear life.
With Lamar is try to focus on his hips and try to take out his legs. If you look at his head and shoulders ur going to be looking for your jock strap.
Our fan base is being hyper sensitive this season

Re: Are teams trying to hurt Lamar?
Definitely think he's getting targetted with intentionally aggressive/dirty hits. Guys are tired of getting embarrassed by him and in "by any means necessary" mode to stop him.
It's like when Jordan just kept going to the basket over and over, eventually guys tried to clobber him to save themselves the embarrassment.
Defenders are hitting him very close to sideline where they would usually just let the player get out of bounds and save themselves the unnecessary collision but with Lamar they feel like it's worth their own body to unload on him right before he gets out.
In the pocket the new thing is diving at his knees, which is illegal under the revised player safety rules and wasn't called in Buffalo.
It's whatever, Lamar will prevail in the end. That boy is heaven sent. Refs do need to protect him, he's the NFL's new cash cow poster boy, wise up and fucking protect the kid.

Re: Are teams trying to hurt Lamar?
These guys are lazy reporters. They keep saying that if Lamar is going to run, then he will be treated like a RB and it is fair game to go at his legs.
However, teams are diving at Lamar's knees WHEN HE IS IN THE POCKET! They can't catch him to go at his legs when he is running, but they are doing so when he is a stationary target in the pocket. QBs are supposed to be protected from low hits when they are in the pocket, but he isn't getting such calls the way other QBs are. That has to change.“When the sea was calm, all ships alike showed mastership in floating.”- William Shakespeare
