I don’t expect any hits to cause intentional injury. Yes you try to hit players hard but the NFL is full of players that understand what goes around comes back around. And players have very long memories. It might take another game or season ow even onto another team but there will be payback.

I kind of recall Vick absorbing a lot more hits. Most of his runs were not designed but scrambles where he'd leave the pocket and rarely slide.

Vick would try to get every last inch. He was always diving at the end of runs or going up the sideline but staying in bounds until someone knocked him out. Lamar is significantly better at protecting his body. You could really see it this last game where the Bills had good pressure. Lamar went down with contact. He wasn't trying to sacrifice himself for a yard. Even the TD pass to Boyle was about getting rid of the ball instead of crashing in for the score.

Why would Williams want to injure Lamar? This game is meaningless for the Jets from a standings perspective. It would be a huge win for them psychologically, but you don’t get that cutthroat unless you are playing for playoff position etc. I think Williams will make sure the Jets play hard, but I don’t think this will be a bounty game.
