If you all want to hear something horribly offensive, check out Puddle of Mudd’s acoustic cover of Nirvana’s About A Girl.

    Wow...just...yuck. Like painful.

I thought it was a joke.

Pretty stoked for this show, two of my favorite bands. Les is a HUGE Rush fan as well (Geddy Lee is the reason he plays bass) so I know he's gonna kill this!
Have my tickets for Philly... would be my I dunno, 7th or 8th time seeing Primus now: But it will be cancelled. It’s mid June... no chance.

    Re: The Music Thread

My favorite band released a new album today, it isn't my favorite of their's but there are two great songs on it, one of which is one of my new favorites.

The album is called Mestarin Kynsi by Oranssi Pazuzu. My favorite track is Uusi Teknokratia.

They are weird, so I won't be offended if my recommendation goes unappreciated :)

They are from Finland and do not perform any songs in English. They are a psychedelic, Motorik-influenced (think Neu!, Can, or Kraftwerk) black metal band.

This is a little bit of a Rickroll, so sorry, but came across this guy on Youtube. One of those things that makes you realize, you will never be as talented as some people on this planet lol. Incredible range on this dude. He's got a bunch of others also and they are all fantastic.

Anyone going to any shows this summer? Listening to anything good/new?

    I’m going to:

Lamb of God and Mastodon in Richmond - lamb of god’s hometown so this should be an amazing show
Lorna Shore, Whitechapel, Kublai Khan TX, and Sanguisugabogg at Fillmore - only seen Lorna live before and they are are amazing, looking for forward to seeing the others

Been listening to a lot of Bilmuri and Knocked Loose otherwise.

Damn that's some heavy stuff bhc and a little out of my range but man I loved the beginnings of metal and one of my favorites being Judas Priest and man they still bringing it. Bunch of 70 yr olds ripping it.

    I don't know a lot but I know a little

Glad this got resurrected. I was trying to find a music thread not long ago and even thought about starting one. Guess I didn't look back far enough.

Going to Stevie Nix. Not normally my style as your post is closer to my music, but she’s a legend and coming locally: The woman wants to go, so I will.

I still, to this day, become mesmerized by some of her stuff, especially Landslide.

Honorable mention to Lindsey Buckingham on the guitar. Very underrated. The man can jam.

Agree. Really a talented band all around. Great harmonies, to me , are their strong points.

Fleetwood is like the Eagles only with female singers. Just a great , talented group , that’s easy to listen to.
