    "Presidents are not kings"

    https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/26/polit...wer/index.html

Getting right down to the basics that most Americans learn in school, the judge quoted Founding Fathers James Madison and Alexander Hamilton and French diplomat Alexis de Tocqueville to explain the nature of the presidency."Stated simply, the primary takeaway from the past 250 years of recorded American history is that Presidents are not kings," Jackson wrote.
"It is indisputable that current and former employees of the White House work for the People of the United States, and that they take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States," the judge added.
The Justice Department quickly said it planned to appeal the ruling, which has profound implications for the impeachment inquiry, since Trump has launched a similar effort to prevent administration officials from testifying under another sweeping claim of presidential immunity.

So they are appealing because they think he is a king?!

Wow, what a hack of ‘analysis’. It was especially bad with the seal portion as trump is the head of the military and can absolutely do what he did. There was no trampling of anything. And the lame defense of the guy got due process so trump getting involved is just lazy or negligent. When JAG listens in on the seals defense lawyer, due process is gettin trampled. No matter how much you hate trump

It always cracks me up when liberals claim trump is trying to be a king or a dictator. Simply because he is expecting people to follow rules and laws.

Meanwhile, Obama was the closest we ever saw in this country to a president thinking he was a king. And Michelle thinking she was a queen.

Yes. Sounds like the judge is a liberal. Because only hard core liberals have been claiming trump is trying to be a king since he isn’t following the looney left rules like sanctuary cities and ignoring illegal immigrant crossings.

    Judge looked at those issues?

How can a lawyer give legal advise without it being protected by not only executive privilege but attorney client privilege?

If McGahn wants to violate that privilege I understand how noone can enforce his silence (short of disbarring him) but how can the judge compel him to give testimony that is ALL privileged there is literally nothing he can offer in-regards to testimony that won't be privileged in some way. The judge appears to not ruled with that as a consideration basically they can compel him to testify then he exerts privilege over everything.

The irony of that statement coming from an unelected judge.

Does she not realize Trump was democratically elected? That he serves at the pleasure of the American public every four years? Unlike judges who are voted in by the senate without input from the public and serve for life.
