Is CJ right, and poll choice 2 comes closest to your position?
It's not a black or white situation, but your choices don't allow for ambiguity. In this situation, with the Biden family obviously being connected to the Bursima scandal, even if there was a quid pro quo I don't think it would be wrong. If there wasn't so much evidence that Biden used his position as VP to enrich his son and Trump (or any politician) encouraged a foreign government to investigate a potential rival then that would be wrong.

Two comes closest allowing for a major caveat.

I'm not really a "wagering" guy. Do you have an idea for some really minor, low-impact stakes?

There's no "might" about it. Even though everyone understands that this Senate would never, ever vote to remove this president.

I assume you mean that the "dumb" part is how it would energize a red storm of conservative voters, resulting in sweeping gains for Repubs across the board in the next election? When the most tactically smart move for Dems would be to let the sleeping majority lie? Not poke the bear?
I mean would cost them a lot of independent voters they need to retain the House. This impeachment plays well with people who hate Trump and were never going to vote Republican anyway, not so much with everybody else.

Looks like dad has been paddling jr with cushy jobs all his life.

Wondering why the left doesn’t like when trump gives his son an actual job where he contributes. But is ok with Biden getting his son a job that he isn’t qualified for.
Because with a few minor exceptions, every person who votes democrat is either an idiot or a piece of shit.

I think there’s more options. One is single issue voters.

Eh, maybe, but considering their ideology directly led to the deaths of over 100 million people last century yet they keep supporting it means a lot.

Not one democrat has attempted to defend Hunter Biden as innocent. They are basically just attacking Trump based on the fact he went about it wrong.

That is why this impeachment is doomed to fail. No republican is going to change their mind on Trumps removal based on a process argument they can keep going down the same rabbit hole but I think most reasonable people see Trumps actions as wrong but not even close to warranting the extraordinary step of removal.

There is no evidence that Trump demanded a quid pro quo. All the democrats hopes are based on presumptions.

Wow. This tinfoil stuff is eventually going to entice me to put on a gas mask and try to slog thru that "impending impeachment" thread. Ugh.

    "Fail"?
    "Hopes"?

What do you guys think those "Democrat hopes" are?
Do you think that any Democrat in the country expects this Repub-controlled Senate to remove Trump?

There is no evidence, Jim. None. Every "witness" got up there and said they presumed there was a quid pro quo which is not proof.

No. That comment was referencing communism and socialism that democrat voters support.
