PROOF that the NFL is setting Colin Kaepernick up to fail!

Hue Jackson to lead Colin Kaepernick workout
    https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...mmitted-attend
Former NFL head coach Hue Jackson will lead the drills during quarterback Colin Kaepernick's scheduled workout in Atlanta on Saturday...

    HUE JACKSON!

    Sorry – I couldn't resIst. That's just funny.

No word on whether Baker Mayfield or Jarvis Landry are going to attend.
    (Ba DUM dum!)

No truth to the rumor that Kaep's stats for workout are already posted – and he went 1 for 32 on his pass attempts!
    (Ba DUM dum!)

    Man, the jokes write themselves!

Why is the NFL responsible for setting him up with the best coach possible so that he makes it? Talk about privilege. Hue sucks and so does Kap so they're the perfect couple.

I feel like maybe you're not getting into the spirit of this.

Aren't you the one always defending kap?

    Totally.

But THIS thread is intended to be a light jokey one. Funny.

It's entirely possible my jokes aren't quite landing. My wife says all the time that my sense of humor is, uh, hit & miss.

    EDIT:
I'm participating in another thread right now in the Politics cesspool, where I'm firing a bunch of defend-Kaep guns. This one really was intended to be funny.

Hue Jackson! Come on. That 1-for-32 zinger was quality work.

Based on your past support on kap, I could legitimately believe that you'd be blaming the NFL for him not having a great coach coaching him up.

The kap topic can never be funny at this point. That horse has been brutally beaten and it's just an annoyance at this point.

    Sure, a reasonable presumption.

    Eh, maybe.

I hope that's not completely true. Otherwise I've wasted good material.

Regardless of your political opinion, I think we must agree that any team hiring him, even as a backup, will alienate some fans and cost itself money.

Regardless of your political opinion, I think we must agree that it's pretty damn funny that when some are questioning the NFL's motives for setting this up and/or the way they are going about it (Saturday rather than a Tuesday, four days notice) – the man the NFL engages to make sure the event runs smoothly is HUE motherfuckin JACKSON.

REST EASY FOLKS! THE WORKOUT IS GOING TO BE A COMPLETE SUCCESS! HUE IS ON THE CASE!

    C'mon. That's funny.

(Also my 1-for-32 quip was gold.)

Re: PROOF that the NFL is setting Colin Kaepernick up to fail!

My kid was watching some excerpts from Avengers Endgame the other day, on YouTube I think, and it got me thinking.

You know what would be utterly hilarious?

If after all his big talk about "only needing a chance" and "staying in shape" and he's been keeping himself sharp etc etc. His agent's press release from a couple weeks ago:

It would be freakin hilarious if Kaep showed up for his workout looking like Fat Thor from Endgame. Beard. Fingerless knit gloves. Flannel PJ pants. Hangover-protection sunglasses. Yelling at some kid on FortNite chat.

OMG. I would never stop laughing. Fuckin Hue Jackson barking out commands – Fat Kaep waddling thru "dropbacks" and "rollouts" – occasionally burping. Holy shit. I am tearing up imagining it. Humorless SJWs like me ranting on and on about blacklists: and here's Fat Kaep, in a ratty bathrobe, trying to throw footballs like Mjolnir.

It is remotely possible that I'm a little punchy from this cutover I've been handling tonight for work. Just wrapped it up about 15-30 mins ago. About to head for naptime.

Somebody ask a mod to restore this to the main page, so we can comment on whatever reports emerge from this oh-so-newsworthy workout. Please.
