Funny thing about "feasible" fiscal policies. Never seems to be enough money for social programs But always enough money to go to war. Funny.

What was you take on Trump pulling troops out of Syria? All of the MSM had a cow, as did most all Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Just curious.

"OMB official to testify in impeachment probe if subpoenaed after others refused"

"Mark Sandy, a career official at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), plans to testify in connection with the House impeachment inquiry on Saturday if he is issued a subpoena.

“If Mr. Sandy is subpoenaed, he will appear for a deposition this Saturday,” Sandy’s attorney Barbara Van Gelder told The Hill on Thursday evening in an email."

... follow the money. Some really good witnesses on the horizon. Dems still loading up.

    Marie Yovanovitch on Friday

    Gordon Sondland next Wednesday

And the OMB guy Sandy on Saturday.

Sondland will be interesting to see if he admits to the phone call Trump which Trump denies. He will have to since I'm have to imagine they have cell phone records.

Trump pulled us out of Syria and is actively trying to put businesses in the inner cities.

So now you're supporting Trump policies. Good to have you on board. Wicked will swing by your house later with a new MAGA hat.

    3. Regulation of prescription drug prices directly harms the creation of new and better medicines. Trump has a much better plan which is to make the countries who do regulate drug prices pay a fair market price which would bring down prices in America (theoretically).
    4. Man-made climate change is a hoax used by people who want to push socialism down the world's throat. If you want to see the effects of socialism, I invite you to visit Venezuela.
    5. Wealth tax is wealth redistribution and crushes the economy. Ask California and New York how that's working out for them.
    6. National Minimum Wage is incredibly stupid considering the different areas of the U.S. 10 bucks an hour in Florence goes a hell of a lot further than 10 bucks an hour in Baltimore. Each state should have a minimum wage not influenced by the Federal Government.
    7. More people are killed by fists, and hammers than with rifles of any type. Hand guns accounted for 64% of the 11,000 firearm murders in 2017.

The major difference between Republicans and democrats is that democrats want government control over everything. The problem with that is overly broad policies that inevitably prove unsustainable in the face of real world variables.

EDIT: You are absolutely 100% correct when you say the Republican party is not saving anyone. It's not their job to. The Republican party wants people to be able to save themselves which the democrats counter by trying to become a Nanny state.
I would add to your comments about the difference between liberals and conservatives. Conservatives think people can do anything they put their minds to doing. Liberals don’t think people are smart enough to or capable to do them.

True. That explains why so many lit majors are liberals while economy majors overwhelmingly steer towards conservatism.

Lol, I actually don’t own a MAGA hat.

I do, however, have a “Cutty’s West Side Gym” tee.

But I will take a stab:

    1. Universal Healthcare - still as popular as ever among younger voters
    2. Planned Parenthood
    3. Regulation of prescription drug prices
    4. New Deal to address climate change
    5. Wealth Tax
    6. National Minimum Wage
    7. BAn of semi automatic weapons
    1. Why would we need this if ACA was successful??? The reason bad plans don’t work is not because we didn’t spend enough money on them, it’s because it’s a bad plan.
    2. Planned parenthood is not a policy.
    3. Price controls leads to shortages of products.
    4. No policy is going to effect the climate. If humans tried to lower the temp, they would fail. They are incapable of doing it. So instead you get govt making people spend more, and inconveniencing them with crazy stupid regulations.
    5. You could take a billion dollars from all the billionaires and it wouldn’t fund universal health care for a year.
    6. Minimum wage should be set by the market. An artificial and arbitrary minimum wage hits low end workers. Those I presume you are trying to help
    7. There is this little thing called the second amendment

The wealth tax theory is interesting. The left has taken a bad idea and went crazy with it. Warren wants to take a % of the wealth each year. Bill fates finally caught on to this and realized it is batsh!t crazy. So you have a guy with 50 billion. Let’s take 3% of his wealth, he doesn’t need it. Next year, he has 48.5 million, let’s take another 3% (because when has a liberal wealth distribution scam stopped after one year). After 10 years of this, that guy has lost a big chunk of his wealth. Eventually the money runs out. And in 20 or 30 years, when there are no more billionaires to take money from. Then what happens? We take it from the middle class.

This Marie Yovanovitch testimony is going well. Lol.

She admitted that she has no “firsthand knowledge” of the Ukrainian phone call. Soooooooooo, why are we hearing from her? I don’t care about the opinion of an un-elected bureaucrat.

She was removed from her post as Ambassador and this entire interview is about how upset that made her. I voted for Donald Trump to fire people like her.

This whole fake impeachment theater is like a cockroach on it's back flailing around while ever so slowly starting to slow down until it eventually succumbs to death.

    PS
As Pelosi accuses Trump of a "cover-up"...he just released the transcript of his first call w/Zelensky. He's also tweeting it out in realtime to counterprogram the Schiff-show. Fuckin hilarious.

I wouldn’t be surprised if schiff somehow claims he has another transcript. That shows other info. But it’s top secret and he can’t release it to the public

I think part of the plan from the beginning was to claim trump wwas obstructing. But then trump went and released the transcript and blew that to hell
