Ravens announce that they've signed ILB L.J. Fort to a two-year contract extension. Fort has played well since team signed him on Sept. 30.

Good move and well deserved on his part.

Fort has been doing a great job of helping us hold down the fort on defense since he has been here

Thumbs up Re: Ravens Extend LJ Fort

Good move by DeCosta and Co. Fort seems to have "got it" at 29 (30 in January) and can't co$t that much. He's also insurance in case Peanut walks in 2020... Bc

He was solid with the Steelers as well, I believe. Him and Bynes are underrated additions for us.

Little more than I expected but good signing.

The #Ravens have signed LB LJ Fort to a 2-year, surprise extension through 2021 that pays him $5.5M, source said. He gets $3.25M fully guaranteed at signing -- all next year. He was cut 5 weeks ago by the #Eagles and still has $1.9M in guarantees this year. An early payday.

Great to hear, need some consistency at the LB spot, he's good on Teams also.

    Good, he's played well.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

I wonder what this means for the potential of re-signing Peanut to a larger money deal

If you mean he was over-paid, then I do not agree. Fort has become a semi-regular @ ILB and has shown himself to be pretty solid in that role. $5.5 million for two years doesn't seem like a whole lot to me considering his productivity so far... Bc
