    De'Anthony Thomas

    Per Jeff z
New KR in the house. Hopefully it will provide some kind of spark. Much needed

I thought this kid was going to be a dynamic return guy.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Surprised they waived Canady and not Cyrus. But Thomas is very intriguing to me.

Had to look up his stats. Has 65 career catches, 7 total TDs (4 receiving, 2 rushing, 1 Punt return).

This is a guy I know zippo about.

Judging from his PFR page, his yards-per-return have started declining, but he is a professional. 140 combined punt- & kick-returns on his career. Only 26 yrs old. One fumble per year on his six-yr career. A tiny little bit of receiving value.

It'll be nice to have a dedicated guy for the role. Also might mean we might be saying goodbye shortly to one or two players.

Ironically, he is available because the Chiefs cut him after he lost a key fumble on a punt return a few weeks ago. But he's more electric than Cyrus. Or at least he used to be.

    He was, at age 21.

What happened? Did Tyreek Hill take his spot?

Might want to check that stat Jim. Thomas has been in 6 games this year and fumbled twice.

Awesome, he can take jet sweeps and reverses to the house. Imagine a double reverse with him a Hollywood.
